Tadarida

Collaborators: Eli Sosa Jimenez

Tadarida is a bat habitat and viewing platform designed to overlook a strip mine, integrating environmental sustainability with human observation. The structure features an innovative system where bat guano is collected and repurposed to enrich the surrounding ecosystem, enhancing soil quality and promoting biodiversity. A key element of the design is a vertical elevator that ascends through the bat enclosure, providing visitors with a unique experience while connecting office spaces above. This blend of functional design and ecological stewardship offers a new perspective on how architecture can coexist with and contribute to the natural environment.
